Değerli izleyicim,110 fotoğraftan oluşan bu albümde, 2025 yıllında gezdiğim ve görüntülediğim Amasya’nın Şehzadeler Müzesi’nin iç ve dış detaylarını ve sergilenen eserleri göreceksiniz. Anlatım metininde müze hakkında detaylı bilgiler okuyacaksınız.
Amasya şehir merkezinde, Yeşilırmak kıyısında yer alan Şehzadeler Müzesi, Osmanlı tarihinin önemli bir dönemini ziyaretçilere yaşatan tematik bir müzedir. Müze, Amasya Belediyesi tarafından 2008 yılında açılmış olup, Amasya’nın Osmanlı şehzadelerinin eğitim gördüğü sancak merkezi kimliğini yansıtır. Şehrin “Şehzadeler Şehri” olarak anılmasının en somut simgesidir.
Müze binası, geleneksel Amasya sivil mimarisi örneklerinden biridir. İki katlı yapının dış cephesi ahşap karkas ve kerpiç dolgu tekniğiyle yapılmıştır. Cephe düzeni, geniş saçaklar, simetrik pencereler ve cumbalarla hareketlendirilmiştir. Zemin kat kesme taş, üst kat ahşap kaplamalıdır. Girişte taş basamaklarla çıkılan bir revaklı kapı ve avluya açılan taş döşemeli giriş bölümü yer alır. İç mekânda odalar, geleneksel plan düzeniyle koridor etrafına dizilmiştir.
Müzenin teması, Osmanlı’nın Amasya’da yetişen şehzadeleri ve onların dönemindeki sosyal, kültürel yaşamdır. İçeride balmumu heykeller, minyatürler, dönem kıyafetleri, silahlar ve yazışma örnekleri sergilenir. Özellikle Şehzade Bayezid, Şehzade Ahmet, Şehzade Mustafa ve Şehzade Murat gibi önemli isimler, kendi dönemlerine ait sahnelerle tanıtılır. Odalarda şehzadelerin eğitim aldığı medrese ortamları, divan toplantıları ve halkla ilişkilerini canlandıran tematik düzenlemeler bulunur.
Her figür, gerçek boyutta ve ayrıntılı biçimde tasarlanmıştır. Balmumu heykeller gerçek saç, kumaş ve metal aksesuarlarla zenginleştirilmiştir. Bu yönüyle müze, tarihî bilgilendirmenin yanında canlandırmalı anlatım tekniğiyle ziyaretçiye görsel bir deneyim sunar.
Müze koleksiyonunda ayrıca şehzadelerin el yazması eserlerinden kopyalar, Osmanlı mührü örnekleri, fermanlar ve dönemin müzik aletleri yer alır. Bilgilendirme panoları, her şehzadenin Amasya’daki görev süresini ve sonrasındaki tarihsel rolünü özetler.
Yapının restorasyonu sırasında özgün mimarisi korunmuş, modern sergileme elemanları iç mekâna dikkatle entegre edilmiştir. Günümüzde müze, Amasya Belediyesi Kültür Müdürlüğü tarafından yönetilmekte ve yıl boyunca yerli-yabancı ziyaretçileri ağırlamaktadır.
Şehzadeler Müzesi, hem Osmanlı hanedan tarihini hem de Amasya’nın kent kimliğini yaşatan bir kültürel simge niteliğindedir. Mimari dokusu, iç mekân düzeni ve tematik sergileme tarzıyla, şehirdeki tarihî sürekliliğin en özgün örneklerinden birini oluşturur.

The Şehzadeler Museum is located in the city center of Amasya, on the bank of the Yeşilırmak River. It was opened in 2008 by the Amasya Municipality. The museum reflects the period when Amasya was an Ottoman training center for princes (şehzades). Because of this historical role, the city is known as the “City of Princes.”
The building represents traditional Amasya civil architecture. It has two floors and was built with wooden frame and adobe filling. The ground floor is made of stone, and the upper floor is covered with wooden panels. The wide eaves, symmetrical windows, and wooden bay windows add movement to the façade. The entrance is reached by stone steps and opens into a courtyard with stone paving. Inside, the rooms are arranged around a central corridor, typical of Ottoman houses.
The museum’s theme focuses on the Ottoman princes who lived and were educated in Amasya. The rooms display wax figures, manuscripts, weapons, costumes, and miniatures. Each section tells the story of a different prince, such as Şehzade Bayezid, Şehzade Ahmet, Şehzade Mustafa, and Şehzade Murat.
The wax figures are life-sized and designed with great detail. They wear real fabrics, jewelry, and metal accessories. Some rooms recreate court meetings, education scenes, and public ceremonies. The setting gives visitors the feeling of stepping into a historical moment.
In addition to the figures, the museum presents copies of handwritten works, Ottoman seals, imperial edicts (firmans), and musical instruments from the same period. The information panels describe the training, duties, and later lives of the princes.
During restoration, the original structure of the house was preserved. Modern exhibition elements were added carefully without harming the building’s authenticity. Today, the museum is managed by the Cultural Affairs Department of Amasya Municipality and attracts both local and international visitors throughout the year.
The Şehzadeler Museum is not only a historical exhibition but also a symbol of Amasya’s cultural identity. Its traditional architecture, realistic displays, and historical storytelling make it one of the most impressive museums in the city, keeping the memory of Ottoman princes alive for new generations.hy.
