Amasya şehir merkezinde yer alan Ferhat ile Şirin Parkı ve Âşık Müzesi, Türk edebiyatının en ünlü aşk hikâyelerinden biri olan Ferhat ile Şirin efsanesine adanmıştır. Bu park ve müze, hem efsanenin geçtiği yer olarak kabul edilen Amasya’nın kültürel kimliğini yansıtır hem de ziyaretçilere romantik bir tarih yolculuğu sunar.
Efsaneye göre, Ferhat, Amasya Sultanı’nın güzel kızı Şirin’e âşık olur. Ancak Şirin’e kavuşmak için sarayın isteği üzerine dağları delip su getirmesi gerekir. Ferhat, aşkı uğruna dağları delerek suyu şehre ulaştırır. Bugün bile “Ferhat Su Kanalı” olarak bilinen bu yapının kalıntıları Amasya’da görülebilmektedir. Park, bu efsanenin geçtiği mekân olarak düzenlenmiş ve “aşkın sembolü” haline gelmiştir.
Ferhat ile Şirin Parkı, yemyeşil doğası, heykelleri ve yürüyüş yollarıyla hem yerli hem de yabancı turistlerin ilgisini çeker. Parkın merkezinde, Ferhat’ın elinde kazma ile dağları delerken, Şirin’in ise onu hayranlıkla izlediği Ferhat ve Şirin heykeli yer alır. Bu heykel, Türk halk kültürünün en duygusal hikâyelerinden birine görsel bir anlam kazandırır.
Parkın içinde bulunan Âşık Müzesi, Anadolu’da yaşatılan aşk hikâyeleri, halk ozanları ve destanlara dair belgeleri, fotoğrafları ve objeleri sergiler. Ziyaretçiler burada yalnızca Ferhat ile Şirin’in hikâyesini değil, aynı zamanda Anadolu’nun derin aşk kültürünü de tanıma fırsatı bulur.
Sonuç olarak, Ferhat ile Şirin Parkı ve Âşık Müzesi, Amasya’nın tarihini, sanatını ve halk kültürünü bir araya getiren özel bir mekândır. Efsanelerle bezenmiş bu alan, “aşkın şehri Amasya”nın ruhunu en güzel şekilde yansıtır.

Located in the city center of Amasya, the Ferhat and Shirin Park and Lovers Museum is dedicated to one of the most famous love legends in Turkish literature — the story of Ferhat and Shirin. The park and museum reflect Amasya’s cultural identity and offer visitors a romantic journey through history.
According to the legend, Ferhat, a young craftsman, fell in love with Shirin, the beautiful daughter of the Amasya Sultan. To marry her, he was told to bring water to the city by digging through the mountains. Driven by his love, Ferhat carved tunnels through the rocks and brought the water to Amasya. The remains of this legendary water channel, known today as Ferhat’s Water Tunnel, can still be seen in the city. The park was designed around this story and became a symbol of eternal love.
Ferhat and Shirin Park attracts both local and foreign visitors with its green landscapes, sculptures, and walking paths. In the center of the park stands a statue of Ferhat and Shirin — Ferhat holding a pickaxe as he digs through the mountain, and Shirin watching him lovingly. This statue brings one of Anatolia’s most emotional love stories to life in a visual form.
Inside the park, the Lovers Museum (Âşık Müzesi) displays documents, photographs, and artifacts related to traditional love stories, folk poets, and romantic legends of Anatolia. Visitors can not only learn about Ferhat and Shirin but also discover the rich culture of love and poetry in Turkish folklore.
